My daughters and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Vienna and took a tour with  Katharina Trost. I cannot sing Kathi enough praises. Kathi's expertise in Vienna's rich history, points of interest, and cultural nuances was unparalleled. She shared fascinating stories from the time of the monarchy and the illustrious Habsburg dynasty, she provided us with a comprehensive understanding of the city's past in a way that kept all of us intrigued by the rich history of this magical place.

Kathi effortlessly engaged both my 15-year-old and 21-year-old daughters throughout the tour. Her enthusiasm and genuine interest in ensuring that each of us felt included and captivated by the experience made the tour truly memorable.

As we explored the city and visited iconic landmarks such as the Hofburg Palace, St. Stephan's Cathedral, the Spanish Riding School, and the Vienna State Opera House, Kathi's insightful commentary provided us with a deeper appreciation for each site's historical significance. Moreover, Kathi went above and beyond to ensure that we felt comfortable navigating Vienna on our own after the tour. She took the time to provide tips on getting around the city, pointing out key landmarks and transportation options, which proved invaluable for the remainder of our stay.

Our tour with Kathi was unforgettable, and expertly curated to cater to our interests and preferences. Her passion for her city, coupled with her warm personality and exceptional knowledge, made for an unforgettable experience and the perfect way to start our visit to Vienna.

We especially wanted to thank you for the detailed historical context you gave us with maps, pictures, and interesting stories.  You were also careful to make sure we were always oriented so we could find our way as we explored more on our own.  What a treat to see not only the major sights but some quiet hidden gems too.  I’ll always remember that magical mystical view of the cathedral spire from the monastery courtyard through the fog!

Katharina was prompt, knowledgeable and accommodating to our group of six. We learned a lot about the history of Vienna. Our tour was on New Year's Day, so due to the light traffic we were able to see & do more than otherwise would have been possible - specifically Schonbrunn Castle. I'm sure it's even more impressive in the summer with all the gardens, but it was still incredible in the dead of winter. Especially enjoyed the time at Hundertwasser with the unique architecture. Thanks!

Best thing we did in Vienna. Katharina is a fabulous guide. We visited places we would never have know about on our own. Concluding in the library was excellent. We also loved hearing the history and stories, as well as going down the laneways and into courtyards.

THANK YOU for taking such good care of us. I got home and found several books about Klimt and Schiele and Vienna at the turn of the century. Pity I didn’t read them BEFORE we went there! Take care  and come to California.

I just want to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed and adored Katherina today. It was an incredible day and we truly appreciate her time, effort, expertise, humor, knowledge, and professionalism.  She truly knew the exact perfect mix of interests we had and how to share just enough information but not too much.  And, her appreciation for the city and history is very obvious and was much appreciate with showing us several of the ‘back roads’. Please let her know that we feel she is part of our family now and want to thank you personally for your help in setting up the plans today. Thank you very much.
